NetApp in The Top Ten Best Places to Work in Australia

Unique culture earns NetApp recognition on the list for the eighth consecutive year

NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) today was ranked in the top ten on Business Review Weekly’s 2015 “Best Places to Work” list in Australia. This marks the eighth consecutive year that NetApp has been named in the widely acclaimed list.

“This recognition is an honour, and a reflection of our commitment to creating and maintaining a company culture that benefits employees and provides competitive advantage for our customers and partners,” said Steve Manley, Vice President, NetApp Australia and New Zealand.

This year’s honour validates NetApp’s ongoing commitment to fostering a dynamic and collaborative working environment. NetApp’s unique Volunteer Time Off (VTO) program enables each employee to volunteer up to five consecutive days per year, with full pay, during regular business hours to support the nonprofit organisations of their choice. In this past year, passionate NetApp employees have contributed their time to supporting many initiatives, including the Hugs4Hospitals campaign with the Day of Difference Foundation, FareShare, the Hartley Foundation and the Cerebral Palsy Alliance.

“Whether we are helping customers move to the cloud, or considering the right teams and infrastructures to support their businesses, our success relies on having a culture that fosters innovation and can adapt during times of transition,” added Manley.

The local team also encourages families to remain a close part of NetApp, with concepts such as Kids@Work Day. Employees invite their children to become NetApp Interns for the day, and get involved in various activities including exchanging business cards with fellow Interns, creating a Vision board, and conducting video conference meetings with interstate Interns.

The BRW Best Places to Work study is widely acclaimed in Australia. Based on one of the world’s most comprehensive studies of workplace culture by Great Place to Work Australia, the quality of this year’s study was higher than ever. Success on the Best Workplaces list is a testament to companies’ unique cultures and commitments to retain happy, engaged, loyal, high performing workforces.
